Sarah's love for all things interiors started at an early age and has grown and developed over the years. When she was about 12 years old, Sarah and her mom hand-painted her bedroom ceiling and walls based on her own design! When Sarah and her husband bought their first home in Virginia, they started tackling DIY and design projects - painting cabinets, installing board & batten, creating a built-in office, and a kitchen renovation.
After moving to Charleston, SC and welcoming three children to their family, Sarah started sharing her designs & DIY projects with the world on her Instagram and Palmetto Haven was born. In addition to designing her own home, Sarah began helping friends and family with their projects as well. After much encouragement from Nick and her family, and positive feedback from others, Sarah decided to turn this hobby into a business. Sarah's passion is helping people design a home that they love and brings them joy.
Sarah & Nick reside in Charleston with their children - Jackson, Ethan and Charlotte. They love everything about Lowcountry life -playing at the beach, enjoying time on the boat, and dining at any of Charleston's fabulous restaurants!

Our goal is to make the process of building, renovating or updating your home seamless and stress free. For projects requiring construction or specific trades, we are happy to recommend our trusted vendors and partners or work directly with those you have already hired.
For clients outside the Charleston, SC area we also offer Virtual Design. After completing a New Client Questionnaire and we will contact you to set up a Discovery Call to discuss your needs. Afterwards, we will put together a design plan and sources for you to order. We will also provide a comprehensive install guide
A 30 minute Discovery Call is the first step for every new project. During this phone call we will take you through the process of working with us and talk about the basics of your project. If you're ready to move forward, we will schedule a time to come to your home and for The Consultation.
Sarah will meet at your home to see the spaces, discuss your needs, the project scope, and budget. The Consultation can be up to 1.5 hours during which we will offer suggestions and provide you with as many valuable ideas and expert advice as possible. Afterward, you will receive a detailed summary and a project proposal.
After the proposal is accepted and letter of agreement is signed, the design work begins! We will being planning, sourcing, contacting trades, and creating a unique design plan for your home.
*renovation and new construction projects will require additional visits with trades.
Once our plans are complete, we will schedule your Design Presentation, where we review space plans, samples of materials, and design boards to help you visualize your new spaces. After our meeting, you will receive also receive the designs digitally to review.
After the design selections are made, our team will begin placing orders and coordinating with any trades necessary to the project (ie: contractors, installers, window coverings, etc). For renovations or new construction, this will include site visits and meetings with trades and vendors.
After all all construction is complete and everything arrives we come on-site to install furniture and style your spaces for the ultimate reveal experience!
